Trump Needs an Elementary Education
11:51 AM Raihan Fauzan
CNN Anchor : Trump Needs an Elementary Education
Trump doesn't seem to be very aware of his country's history. As a president, he has to be aware of history of his country. Because the reality is that the US came out of racism. It came out of slavory. The black people protest on the removal of monument of Robert E Lee High School. People must be very offensive if they go to school with a pressure on it, for example. Imagine, for example, how Jewish people go to Hitler school. It must be so bad. The president should go back to school and get elementary education. He must know the history of this country and how this country started.

DEWA ATHENA
4:58 PM Raihan Fauzan
Source : Kirana's blog |
Hello readers! Long time no blogging!
Now, I'm going to tell you a little about Dewa Athena. Well, actually it's already late, but nevermind...
Dewa Athena is an acronym of Olimpiade Siswa, Ajang Tunjuk Kebolehan, Eksistensi, dan Kebersamaan Siswa. It is an annual sport competition in my school, SMAN 3 Bandung, where the 10 graders compete with the 11 graders to be the best. This year's event was held on March 25 for the elimination, April 1 for the semifinal, and April 8 for the final. It was held at Lapangan Bali.
There were some games, and here I'm going to explain them one by one.
- The first game is basketball. It's only available for the boys. Yahya, Ziyad, Dio, Ernest, and I were the players. Our first enemy was X IPA 6, and we LOST the game. It was so disappointing, but we didn't lose hopes for the other games.
- Gobak sodor! It is actually Indonesian traditional game. We sent 10 persons to be our representatives against X IPA 4. But, again, we LOST. Well, that was a bit pathetic!
- Futsal, one of the most favorite game for boys. But in Dewa Athena, there was also futsal for girls. First, the boys' game. Ziyad, Yahya, Ernest, Kevin, and I played. Our first enemy was X IPA 10. Well it was not a really serious game, so we could win. We went to the next step : against X IPA 3. Before the game, we thought that it will be so hard. But, the reality didn't say so. Thanks God, we won. And finally, the real enemy appeared. No, it was not the final yet, we were just not so lucky because we faced X IPA 6 in the semifinal. X IPA 6! They were famous for their Fawwaz, Rofi, and the other great players. So, even though we tried our best, the result could be predicted. We were defeated, badly.
- Next game : run relay! It was Adel, Gita, Ziyad, and Dio who played very well. They made us won 2 times, until the third time, Dio wasn't there because he had to join Christianity class, so I had to replace him, and then we lost. It was so sad.
- Dodge ball : a tough game! Honestly it was hard to win. We, boys, lost on our first game. But luckily, the girls did it well so they could pass to the next game. Even though they lost at the end, it was such a fun game!
- Tug of war! We call it Tarik Tambang. It's also a traditional game here in Indonesia and we usually play it when celebrating Independence Day. It's not a big deal for us because we had KENNY! We won easy enough for several times. But sadly, it happened again. Since Kenny had to join Christianity class, we didn't have enough power to win.
- Volleyball : the most favorite game of mine! This was what I waited for. I was so excited! I've prepared a great plan and formation for us to play. But the reality didn't say so. I had a really bad cramp on my legs. I couldn't walk well. That really made me so sad. But I didn't lose hope. I gave my best plan to my friends. Even tough we lost, my friends had tried their best and that was enough for me.
- The last and the greatest game : BADMINTON! I think it was the most exciting game. Why? Because we did it very well. Starts for the boys. Ernest and Ziyad were the hero. They played very cool and great. But sadly, we weren't so lucky at that time. After winning so easy for several time, we lost. That was not a problem, because I think it was not about winning or losing, it was about effort. Next, the girl's game. Najwa and Dita became our representatives. They tried really hard and they made it to the final! In the final, they've played at their best, but X IPA 7 played better. Although we didn't make it, but we were really proud of this great victory!
So, that was all the games. Dewa Athena gave us a sweet memory. We became more compact and knew each other. I hope we're still allowed to join the next year's event.
Thanks for reading!

Dear Nathan...

Movie Review : Dear Nathan
Released on March 23 2017, Dear Nathan has became one of the best movie I've ever seen!
Dear Nathan tells a story about Salma, a new student at SMA Garuda. One day, she comes late to school and miss the flag ceremony. She meets Nathan, the most naughty boy at the school, who is injured at that time because of fighting. Salma cures his wound and that little thing makes Nathan falls in love with Salma. That's how their love story begins.
At first, Salma bewares of Nathan because she knows that Nathan is not a good boy. But, Nathan tries hard to get Salma's love, with many cool ways. Finally, Salma has crush on him and they becomes a couple.
Maybe we all wonder, what's so special about that kind of story? After you watch it, you're going to like it! The plot is more complicated than an ordinary love story. We can learn many lessons from unexpected thing in that amazing movie. For example, Nathan has a broken-home problem. We can learn that family is very important, and every child needs love from parents.
Next, Nathan had a twin, Daniel. He passed away because of Nathan's naughtiness. That scene is so deep. We can learn that our attitude brings great impact to people around us, so we have to make it good. Many other things impress me. Dear Nathan really gives good lessons about life.
The last and the most important thing I get from that movie is about love. Nathan speaks to Salma, "When others look at me as trash, you look at me as a human." That's so deep for me! Little thing brings love, time grows it, and we make it true love. And when that true love comes, it lasts forever.
Curious? Watch it and you'll feel the way I feel!

My Holiday Experience
10:30 AM Raihan Fauzan
Hello, readers! Long time no see!
After approximately 3 weeks holiday, I started my routines again. Now, I'm going to tell you about my holiday experience. Happy reading!
My holiday began on December 24, after receiving report cards on December 23. From December 24 to January 1, I attended Math Training at Pribadi Bilingual Boarding School Bandung in order to prepare myself for the olympiad. Yahya also attended it, but only for 5 days. Thanks to that Math Training, I could improve my skill (a little). I also got many new friends. That was a really great time!
On December 31, I gathered with my big family at my aunt's house. We ate, had chat, and took pictures. Finally, on the New Year's Eve, we went to Kota Baru Parahyangan to watch the fireworks display. I took pictures of the fireworks, and I think that was amazing!
One day after the Math Training ends, I went to Bogor with my cousin, Icah, and stayed at her house. On Saturday, December 31, Icah and her parents, Om Toto and Mama Erna (that's how I call them), were from Indramayu. They stopped by and stayed at my aunt's house for 2 nights. Then I came with them to their house in Bogor.
On Monday, December 2, first day at Bogor, we just stayed at Icah's house. We were tired after the trip. On the second day, we visited my aunt's house in Jakarta. I met my cousins after long time no see. In the night, we went to Kelapa Gading to watch Cek Toko Sebelah, a movie by Ernest Prakasa (not Ernest Giovani). The film was really amusing and we had a great quality time! After that, we went back to Bogor and we were happy because Amen (his real name is Rossi), my cousin, came with us!
On Wednesday, we visited my uncle's house in Rempoa, Tangerang. We went there to pick up my cousin, Kiki. Luckily, his dad gave him permission so Kiki could come with us to Bogor! On Thursday, we went swimming at Sport Center Bukit Golf Riverside Cibubur. We were so happy because the last time we swam like this was when we were still in Elementary School. We took some pictures, and it was really fun!
In the night, my parents came to Bogor to pick me up. We stayed for one more night. Finally, we went home on Friday. Although I only had 5 days for my 'real' holiday, I got a great time.
Thank you for reading!

Bill Gates
9:41 AM Raihan Fauzan
William Henry Gates was born on October 28, 1955 in Seattle, Washington. As the principal founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates is one of the most influential and richest people on the planet. Recent estimates of his wealth put it at $56 billion, this is the equivalent of the combined GDP of several African economies. In recent years he has retired from working full time at Microsoft, and has instead has concentrated on working with his charitable foundation “The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation”
Bill Gates foundation of Microsoft
Bill Gates founded Microsoft in 1976 when he formed a contract with MITTS (Micro Instrumentation and Telemetry Systems) to develop a basic operating system for their new microcomputers. In the early days Bill Gates would review every line of code. He was also involved in several aspects of Microsoft’s business such as packing and sending off orders.
The big break for Microsoft came in 1980 when IBM approached them for a new BASIC operating system for its new computers. In the early 1980s IBM was by far the leading PC manufacture. However, increasingly, there developed many IBM PC clones; (PCs developed by other companies compatible with IBM’s). Microsoft worked hard to sell its operating system to these other companies. Thus Microsoft was able to gain the dominant position of software manufacture just as the personal computer market started to boom. Since its early dominance, no other company has come close to displacing Microsoft as the dominant provider of computer operating software.
Bill Gates – Windows
In 1990 Microsoft released its first version of Windows. This was a break through in operating software as it replaced text interfaces with graphical interfaces. It soon became a best seller and was able to capture the majority of the operating system market share. In 1995 Windows 95 was released, setting new standards and features for operating systems. This version of windows has been the backbone of all future releases from Windows 2000 to the latest XP and Vista.
Throughout his time in office Bill Gates has been keen to diversify the business of Microsoft. For example Microsoft’s Internet Explorer became the dominant web browser, although this is mainly because it comes pre installed on most new computers, and in recent years has seen its market share slip.
One area where Microsoft has never been as successful is in the area of search engines. MSN live search has struggled to gain more than 5 % of market share. In this respect Microsoft has been dwarfed by Google. Nevertheless the success of Microsoft in cornering various aspects of the software market has led to several anti trust cases. In 1998 US v Microsoft, Microsoft came close to being broken up into three smaller firms. However on appeal Microsoft were able to survive as a single firm.
Philanthropic Activities – Bill Gates
Bill Gates is married to Melinda French (married in 1992). They have three children Jennifer (1996), Rory (1999) and Phoebe (2002). With his wife Bill Gates formed the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Bill Gates says much of the inspiration came from the example of David Rockefeller. Like Rockefeller, Gates has sought to focus on global issues ignored by the government; he also expressed an interest in improving the standards of public school education in the US. He has appeared with Oprah Winfrey to promote this objective. In respect to charitable, philanthropic activities Gates has also received encouragement from investor Warren Buffet, who has given away $17 billion, through the Gates Foundation.
From 2008 Gates has worked full time on his philanthropic interests. It is estimated Gates and his wife Melinda have given away $28 billion via their charitable foundation – including $8 billion to improve global health.
Gates has said that he has no use for money, and will only leave a small percentage of his wealth to his children. In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Gates states:
“I’m certainly well taken care of in terms of food and clothes,” he says, redundantly. “Money has no utility to me beyond a certain point. Its utility is entirely in building an organisation and getting the resources out to the poorest in the world.” (1)
His main areas of interest in philanthropy have been improving health, and in particularly helping to reduce diseases, such as polio which affect young children. He has also given more focus to environmental issues. In 2015, he gave $1 billion to a clean energy project, as he sees supporting new ‘greener’ technologies as a way to help deal with global warming.
